
Member of Punjab State Food Commission Vijay Dutt made a surprise visit to various government schools and Anganwadi centers of Block Kurali and Majri and inspected the beneficial schemes.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 28, 2024:- Member of Punjab State Food Commission Vijay Dutt inspected Government Primary Smart School and Government Middle School of village Fatehgarh of Block Kurali of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, Government Primary Smart School and Government Middle School of village Badodi and Anganwadi Center of village Badodi of Block Majri and Anganwadi Center of village Fatehgarh.
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 28, 2024:- Member of Punjab State Food Commission Vijay Dutt inspected Government Primary Smart School and Government Middle School of village Fatehgarh of Block Kurali of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar district, Government Primary Smart School and Government Middle School of village Badodi and Anganwadi Center of village Badodi of Block Majri and Anganwadi Center of village Fatehgarh.
Commission member Vijay Dutt said that for a long time, there have been reports about the quality of Panjiri and Khichdi given in Anganwadi, in view of which the Commission has started taking samples from different Anganwadi centers so that the quality of this food item can be checked. In this connection, these samples have been collected today. Which will be tested in the lab.
Commission member Mr. Dutt directed to maintain Mid Day Meal Food Test Register in schools and provide clean food to the children and take care of cleanliness while preparing and serving food. The commission member talked to the school students about mid day meal and also ate mid day meal with the children. The commission member instructed that the TDS of drinking water in the school and the quality of water should be checked from time to time by the concerned department.
Apart from this, the commission member instructed to conduct health checkup of the students of the schools and also instructed to conduct medical checkup of the mid day meal workers. During the checking of Anganwadi centers, commission member Vijay Dutt instructed the incharge and helpers to provide information about the latest schemes of the government to as many beneficiaries as possible.
During the visit, the commission member instructed to install the helpline number of Punjab State Food Commission in all the government schools, government ration depots and Anganwadi centers of the district. He told that if any beneficiary has any complaint related to the schemes of National Food Security Act, then he can register his complaint in the helpline number of the commission 9876764545.
