PCMSA reiterated that such incidents will not be tolerated at any cost. Security arrangements in hospitals are essential not only for staff but also for hospital patients and valuables. Dedicated healthcare workers who dedicate their lives to serving those most in need, yet work in extremely unsafe and challenging conditions. With drug abuse and vandalism on the rise, providing a safe environment has become even more important as people are brought to hospitals after conflicts. Attacking these dedicated professionals is a gross violation of their basic human rights. We all condemn such violence and want to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
We urge the local administrative and police authorities to investigate the matter seriously and take effective steps to prevent such incidents in future. The safety and well-being of our healthcare professionals is paramount and we must collectively work to create an environment where they can perform their duties without violence or harassment.
