A 14-day orientation program was conducted at Sainik Institute

Hoshiarpur - 'Sainik Institute of Management and Technology, Hoshiarpur Campus', a government college run by the Government of Punjab under the District Defence Services Welfare Office, is also the nodal office for several other Sainik Institutes of Management and Technology run by the department. IKG is affiliated to Punjab Technical University, 'Sainik Institute of Management and Technology, Hoshiarpur Campus', the ongoing orientation program at the beginning of the new academic session, was organized as usual this year as well.

This program was conducted for 14 days under the leadership of Principal Dr. Parminder Kaur Saini, the main objective of which was to explain to the new students about living on campus, to explain about the various services provided for the students, to know the students and how campus life can be improved. Its purpose was to introduce research and provide opportunities. Meanwhile, the students and staff tried to raise the level of education by conducting various activities every day.
The orientation program was divided into two parts. In the first part, the students already studying in the institute organized various activities for the new students under the supervision of teachers. This gave them the ability to perform in a different way. In the second part, the faculties made many efforts to develop the versatile personality of the new and old students.
At the beginning of the new session, the students who came to the institute were given a warm welcome by the students and staff members on the first day by applying tilak on their foreheads, tying it on their wrists and feeding them curd. The students started the first day by taking the blessings of all the teachers.

Detailed information was given about calligraphy, paper craft, importance of Ayurvedic medicines, oratory, atmosphere of plagiarism, awareness of ragging, computer equipment, yoga asanas, importance of studies in life, importance of sports in life, etc.
On the last day, the students and staff members together celebrated the festival of Teeya. In which the desires, duties, customs and the pride and duties of girls towards their brothers were strung together in a series and captured in a video through a drama.
