The office of Registering & Licensing Authority, UT Chandigarh had conducted e auction of new series “CH01-CU” and other left-over registration numbers of previous series w.e.f. 21.03.2024 to 01.04.2024. However, the allotment of registration numbers could not be done as Model Code of Conduct was in force. Accordingly, it has been decided by the Chandigarh Administration that all the successful bidders of the e auction of the choice registration numbers, which was concluded on 01.04.2024 have been exempted from the payment of penalty which accrued with effect from 02.04.2024 to 16.08.2024 on delayed registration of vehicle beyond prescribed period . In view of the above, it is for the information of the general public that the applicants who have obtained choice registration numbers in the above said series, may visit the office of Registering & Licensing Authority, UT Chandigarh for allotment of registration numbers and registration of their vehicles as per prescribed documents.
