Nawanshahr - Member of Punjab Scheduled Castes Commission Chandrashwar Singh Mohi and Advocate Parmila Flianwala reached village Jhugian Bet in Balachore and heard the problems of people belonging to the scheduled community. After this he also heard the problems of people belonging to such community at the district administration complex. Meanwhile, he said that the commission had received 20 complaints related to Nawanshahr district Taking this seriously, today they have reached here to settle these complaints.
Giving further information in this regard, he said that he had received complaints regarding caste-indicative words, mutual fights, complaints against the police department, registration in wrong cases, fraud etc. He gave instructions to the police officers and officers of other departments regarding the complaints received and asked them to take appropriate action and submit the report to the commission. Meanwhile, he also listened to the problems of other people at the district administration complex and received their applications and gave instructions to the concerned departments to take action. He ordered the district administration and the police administration to review the government facilities provided to the scheduled caste people by all the departments every month.
Apart from this, the problems related to seniority and reservation should be solved on priority basis according to the guide line related to government procedures. Apart from this, the officers from the police administration were also ordered to appoint a gazetted rank nodal officer to deal with cases related to Scheduled Castes so that common people can get quick justice.
