Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar December 03, 2024: Mohali Municipal Corporation Commissioner T Benith today made a surprise visit to some roads of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar and samples were collected to check the quality of the ongoing works.
On this occasion, Commissioner T Benith said that samples of the roads of Sector-67 market and Sector-66 B road (in front of the old police station of Sohana) and Phase-11 Ward No.-21 have been collected and sent for inspection.
He said that this routine inspection has been done and the ongoing works will be inspected from time to time in the same way. The Commissioner also instructed the officers present on this occasion to ensure that the ongoing works are carried out as per the prescribed specifications.
The Commissioner Municipal Corporation also clarified on this occasion that if the samples taken fail, appropriate action will be taken against the responsible contractor as per the rules.
Chief Engineer Naresh Batta, Xen. Kamaldeep Singh, SDO Dharmendra and other officers were also present with him on this occasion.
