SAS Nagar, August 27, 2025: Punjab Finance Minister S. Harpal Singh Cheema today visited the residence of legendary Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla to express grief and solidarity with the bereaved family.
During his visit, the Finance Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to Smt. Paramdeep Bhalla (wife) and Sh. Pukhraj Bhalla (son) of the late comedian. He shared that Jaswinder Bhalla’s demise is an irreparable loss to Punjabi cinema and theatre, as he brought smiles to millions of faces through his unmatched talent and humility.
Cheema further added that the void created by his passing can never be filled, and his contribution to Punjabi art, culture, and entertainment will always be remembered with respect.
Punjab Food Commission Chairman Bal Mukand Sharma and other close family members were also present on the occasion.
