Hoshiarpur - District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal informed that the work of voter registration will continue from 21 October 2023 to 31 July 2024 under the process of preparation of voter list in Gurdwara Board constituencies by Chief Commissioner Gurdwara Elections. had been It has been extended, which will now run till 16 September 2024. He said that according to the latest schedule, the preparation and printing of voter lists will take place from 17 September 2024 to 8 October 2024. After this, the voter lists will be published on 9 October 2024.
He also informed that the last date for receipt of claims and objections will be 29 October 2024. He said that by November 8, 2024, the claims and objections will be removed as per Rule No. 10 (3) of Sikh Gurdwara Board Elections 1959. Thereafter, preparation and printing of supplementary lists will be done on 25 November 2024. He also informed that the final publication of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee election lists will be done on November 26, 2024.
The Deputy Commissioner in exercise of powers under the Sikh Gurdwara Elections Rules, 1959, as amended from time to time, received claims/objections from the applicants for constituencies for elections to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (Board) in the board constituencies. Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak (Board) Committee Election Constituencies Sub Division Magistrate Mukerian Board Election Constituency 111 Mukerian, Sub Division Magistrate Dasuha Board Election Constituency 112 Dasuha, Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Hoshiarpur, Board Constituency 113 Shamchurasi, Sub Divisional Magistrate Hoshiarpur Board Constituency 114 Hoshiarpur and Sub Divisional Magistrate Garhshankar Board Constituency 115 Garhshankar has been appointed as revising authority officer.
Therefore any valid applicant can submit his/her form as per Kesadhari Sikh rule 3(1) to the concerned revising authority by 16th September 2024. These forms are also available in the offices of the concerned officials and can also be downloaded and used from the district administration website Hoshiarpur.nic.in.
