On this occasion, former councilor RP Sharma said that these houses were found in 1978 and about 12 years ago during the government, it was duly passed in the cabinet that these allotments would be finalized and a 5-member committee was duly formed to take this process forward, but due to the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct at that time, this process could not be fully completed and the matter is pending.
While assuring the residents of the demand for allotment of these quarters after meeting MLA Kulwant Singh, MLA Kulwant Singh said that he will discuss the matter with the concerned higher officials and get this issue related to the allotment of quarters resolved as soon as possible. MLA Kulwant Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to permanently resolving the long-standing demands of the people. During the meeting with MLA Kulwant Singh, the delegation included former councilors RP Sharma, Krishan, Ranjit Singh, Jagdish Singh, Hem Raj and residents of the Mohalla, in addition to a large number of women.
