Special arrangements will be in place at Mata Shri Chintapurni Ji during the Shravan Ashtami fair

Una, July 30 - Special arrangements will be in place from 5 to 14 August for the convenience of the people and smooth law and order during the Shravan Ashtami Navratri fair at Mata Shri Chintapurni Temple. In this regard, District Magistrate Jatin Lal has issued orders using the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code (BNSS). According to the order issued, there will be a complete ban on carrying weapons by any person except the jawans deployed for law and order during the fair.

Jatin Lal said that to prevent noise pollution during Navratri, the use of loudspeakers by anyone other than the temple trust will be completely prohibited. There will also be a complete ban on bringing brass bands, drums, long tongs etc. during the fair. If a person brings these items with him, he will have to deposit them at the barrier set up by the police. Also, there will be a complete ban on the use of polythene during this time. There will also be a ban on setting up langar in the open and on the roadside and fireworks etc. will also not be allowed.
The Deputy Commissioner said that during the fair period, it will be mandatory to get a slip from the registration counter set up for the darshan of Mata Shri Chintapurni Ji. Devotees will not be able to have darshan of Mata Shri Chintapurni Ji without a slip.
