Bathinda, April 29 - After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the Indian Army and Police are continuously checking suspicious people. Meanwhile, a cobbler has been arrested from Bathinda Cantt on charges of having contact with a Pakistani woman.
According to the information received, the accused has been identified as Sunil Kumar, a resident of Samastipur Bihar. He had been living in Beant Nagar, Bathinda for the last 10 years and used to work as a cobbler in Bathinda Cantonment.
The Army's intelligence agency checked his mobile during an operation, in which a suspicious WhatsApp chat with a Pakistani woman was found. The police have registered a case of espionage against Sunil Kumar.
The Army is seriously investigating this matter. It is noteworthy that four years ago, a grade four employee working at the Bathinda military station was arrested on charges of sending secret documents during a honey-trap by a woman from the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.
