In this regard, while releasing the poster, Deputy Commissioner Patiala Shaukat Ahmed Parai said that on February 5, all the children of the district from 1 year to 19 years are to be fed Albendazole pill. He said that children from 2 to 19 years will be given a full tablet and children from 1 to 2 years will be fed half a tablet of albendazole. He said that all the approximately 6 lakh 41 thousand children between 1 to 19 years of age enrolled in all government, recognized, private schools, colleges, Anganwadi centers of the district, who have dropped out due to any reason, will be fed this pill. He said that in order to carry out this campaign successfully, cooperation is being taken by holding meetings with the Department of Education, Department of Women and Child Development etc. Civil surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur said that this pill should not be given to children on an empty stomach. Therefore, children should not come to school on an empty stomach on the day of taking pills. He said that with this initiative of the health department, millions of children will get relief from stomach worms, because most of the children suffer from physical weakness, anemia and irritability due to the decrease in daily food due to stomach worms. is But now with the dosage of this medicine, children will get rid of anemia along with diseases. He appealed to the people to support the health department in feeding this pill to their children.
