Kapurthala June 8- The 27th state-level Junior Senior Wushu Championship was organized by Kapurthala District Wushu Association at Shri Sanatan Dharam Sabha Kapurthala. District Wushu Association Kapurthala and Youth Sports Welfare Board President Rajiv Walia said that on June 1, 2025, Rana Inder Pratap Singh (MLA Sultanpur Lodhi) arrived as a special guest in the championship to boost the morale of the players. Rana Inder Pratap Singh congratulated the teams participating in the championship and motivated the players to move forward in sports.

District Wushu Association Kapurthala President Rajiv Walia and his team members thanked Rana Inder Pratap Singh for giving their valuable time in the championship and honored them by presenting them with a memento. Rajiv Walia said that the selected players of this championship participated in the national championship. During the championship, special guest Ranjit Singh Khojewal, District President BJP, arrived to bless the players.
Ranjit Singh Khojewal motivated all the players who came to participate in the championship to perform well and said that the aim of this program organized by Rajiv Walia and his team is to accelerate the physical, mental and social development of children and to promote leadership skills, team spirit and self-confidence through sports.
He said that the events being organized from time to time to connect the youth with sports are proving to be inspiring. He said that children of all schools and colleges should definitely dedicate an hour for sports and said that the government should also provide financial help.
He said that the players should bring glory to their country and district. On this occasion, Ashok Singh Jamwal, Roshan Lal Sabharwal, Dr. Sarabjit Singh, famous Punjabi musician Satti, Rajesh Sharma (MD Power Club), Kulwinder Singh Mann arrived to bless the players. Ranjit Singh Khojewal honored the winning players with medals.
Rajiv Walia, Prof. Amreek Singh, Jaspal Singh Panesar, Gurcharan Singh, Sukhwinder Singh, Rajdeep Singh, Paramjit Singh presented mementos to all the special guests and thanked them for attending the championship.
