Patiala, June 10 - Additional District Magistrate Madam Kanchan has imposed a complete ban on the use of lantern kites/wish kites within a radius of two kilometres near the Civil Aviation Club Patiala under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. The order states that lantern kites/wish kites are flown or released by the general public during festivals in the aviation sector. Such activities make it difficult for aircraft to take off or land. Therefore, it is necessary to completely ban the flying or release of lantern kites/wish kites in the air within a radius of two kilometres around the airport. These orders will remain in force till August 5, 2024.
