Una, June 1 - The voting process for the Lok Sabha general election and 2 assembly by-elections in Una district was completed peacefully on Saturday, June 1. District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that 74.23 percent voting has been recorded in the Lok Sabha General Election-2024 in the district. In this, the female vote percentage was 77.36 and the male voting percentage was 71.17 percent.

District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that 74.23 percent voting has been recorded in the Lok Sabha General Election-2024 in the district. In this, the female vote percentage was 77.36 and the male voting percentage was 71.17 percent.
At the same time, the voting percentage in the assembly by-election of Gagret and Kutlahar was 76.14 percent. In this, the voting percentage of women was 79.53 percent and that of men was 72.81. In the by-election, 75.21 percent voting took place in Gagret and 77.04 percent in Kutlahar.
Let us tell you, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, 75.97 percent voting was recorded in Una district. At the same time, in the assembly elections held in the state in 2022, 78.78 percent voting took place in Gagret and 76.82 percent in Kutlahar. Out of a total of 4 lakh 33 thousand 129 voters in Una district, 3 lakh 21 thousand 501 voters exercised their franchise on Saturday. Whereas in Gagret and Kutlahar by-elections, out of a total of 1 lakh 72 thousand 9 voters, 1 lakh 30 thousand 971 voters cast their votes on June 1. 516 polling stations were set up in the district. Counting of votes will take place on June 4.

A total of 75.21 percent voting took place in the assembly by-election in Gagret. Out of a total of 84316 voters of Gagret Assembly, 63415 participated in the voting on Saturday, out of which 32478 were women and 30937 were male voters.
A total of 77.04 percent voting took place in the Kutlahar assembly by-election. Out of a total of 87693 voters, 67556 participated in the voting, of which 35349 were women, 32206 were men and 1 was a third gender voter.

Of these, 30969 were women, 29890 were men and 1 was a third gender voter. Whereas, 71.22 percent voting took place in Haroli assembly constituency. Out of a total of 89258 voters, 63573 voted there. There were 33157 female and 30416 male voters. 77.43 percent voting took place in Kutlahar assembly constituency. Out of a total of 87693 voters, 67900 voted there. There were 35366 female, 32533 male and 1 third gender voter. 75.49 percent voting took place in Gagret assembly constituency. Out of a total of 84316 voters, 63652 voted there. There were 32370 female and 31282 male voters.

All basic facilities including cool and pure drinking water, shady places, toilets, ramps for the disabled, wheelchairs etc. were provided at the polling stations due to the heat.
