CIA staff of Mohali police arrested 2 persons with illegal weapons

SAS Nagar, May 28 - A team of CIA Staff of Mohali Police arrested two persons and recovered 2 illegal weapons and cartridges from them. Giving this information, DSP Investigation Mr. Harsimrat Singh said that these people have been arrested during a campaign against bad elements by the CIA Staff Mohali (Camp at Kharar) led by Inspector Harminder Singh in charge as per the instructions of SSP Dr. Sandeep Kumar Garg.

Giving this information, DSP Investigation Mr. Harsimrat Singh said that these people have been arrested during a campaign against bad elements by the CIA Staff Mohali (Camp at Kharar) led by Inspector Harminder Singh in charge as per the instructions of SSP Dr. Sandeep Kumar Garg.

He said that on May 25, the police team of CIA Staff was present near Nabha Sahib in Zirakpur. During which ASI Rajinder Singh received secret information that Subhash Kumar resident Badal Colony, Zirakpur, UP is supplying illegal weapons in Punjab and he has also ordered illegal weapons, which he is going to supply in Zirakpur area.

He said that on the basis of information from the informer, a case was registered against Subhash Kumar under section 25-54-59 of Arms Act in Police Station Zirakpur and Subhash Kumar was arrested from Badal Colony Zirakpur. He told that during interrogation Subhash admitted that he had brought three illegal weapons from Badaun in UP a long time ago and he had sold one of these illegal weapons, a country-made pistol .315 bore, to Satwinder Singh alias Sodhi around Balaji Enclave, Lohgarh, Zirakpur 7/8 months ago. He told that he still had to sell these weapons to Satwinder Singh alias Sodhi. On the basis of interrogation, Satwinder Singh has also been named and arrested in the case.

He told that Subhash Kumar is about 19 years old. He has passed five classes and is unmarried. His background is from village Jageshur, district Badaun, UP. The second person Satwinder Singh is 23 years old and is unmarried. Satwinder Singh has confessed during interrogation that he had bought illegal weapons from Subhash Kumar 7-8 months ago. He told that he had posted a story with the said weapon on his Instagram ID and then out of fear he threw the illegal weapon in the Ghaggar river near village Bhakharpur. Three live cartridges have been recovered from Satwinder Singh. Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B of the IPC were also registered against this person. A case has been registered at Zirakpur police station.
