SAS Nagar, August 26 - Senior Congress leader Harkesh Chand Sharma Machhli Kalan has criticized the National Highway Authority and said that Punjabi language has not been given a place in the directional and directional boards on the Bharat Mala Road, which originates from the villages of the district.
While showing the boards on the road, Mr. Sharma said that the National Highway Authority has built this road by acquiring the fertile lands of the villages of Mohali and the boards on it are written only in Hindi and English, while the people of the villages do not know Hindi and English and can easily read Punjabi.
He said that the absence of Punjabi language from these boards is very bad because the government has completely neglected the mother tongue Punjabi in Punjab itself. He said that the Punjab government and the Punjab Language Department, which is working for the prosperity of the Punjabi language, should pay attention to this matter without delay.
