Star of Tricity Group organised the Sashakt Nari Puraskar ceremony on 9th March at the auditorium of Art Gallery Sector 10, Chandigarh. The award ceremony started with Ganesh Vandana presentation by special daughter Shubh, and honourable Jagjit Kaur Kalon graced the ceremony as the chief guest. Jagjit ji, who is Zonal Chairperson and Social Worker 32IF Region 10 Disc 321D Lions Club Mohali, said that every woman is empowered in herself.
The women honoured with the Strong Women Award include international para table tennis player Poonam ji, Manjit Bhatia, Editor-in-Chief Sana Simi Gill, Neelima Arora, Upendra Sekhon, Madhu Bala Rajwant Kaur, Neeraj Thakur, Maninder Kaur, Paramjit Grewal, Bhupinder Mann, Suparna Barman, Diksha Barman, Prerna Bhatia, Amandeep Kaur, Alka Sharma, Shashi Guleria, Saroj Bala, Vijay Laxmi, Maninder Kaur, Tajinder Kaur, Mili Garg, Sonu Thakur, Vandana, Ruchi, Priya Arora, Puneet Madan, Dr. Harvindan Kaur, Leena Kohli, Neeta Kumar, Mukta Goyal, Jatinder Pal Kaur, Aarti, Ritu Singh, Nain Priya, Sunita Purang, Prince Singh, Mandi Gill, Kavita Bansal, Manika Sharma, Meenakshi Goyal, Sony Dr. were honoured with the Strong Woman Award.
The trophies were given to all the women by the CBP Group and on this occasion the chief guest Jagjit Kaur ji honoured all the women by giving them awards. While addressing the women, Managing Director of Career Definer said that women can learn any skill at any age, and whenever they want, her company will give them full support and will also provide free counseling to women and daughters.
On this occasion, Star of Tricity Chief Kiran ji said that we should make every woman equal. On this occasion, Vice President of Star of Tricity Neelima Arora honored 45 women with Empowered Nari Award. She said that women of Tricity are ahead in every field, they handle both home and work. Senior Advisor Asha Kalon said that we do not need respect for one day, rather women need respect every day.
On this occasion, Director and Founder Preeti Arora said that her group has been empowering 40 to 45 women of Tricity for the last 10 years. The women who received the award are doing very good and different work in their field, this trend will continue in future as well. Advisors Mamta and Navdeep Kaur said that our group works like a family and team.
Star of Tricity Group also said that disabled children should also be treated specially. Prerna Bhatia, who is an athlete, was also given the Strong Woman Award. All the women who received the awards were very happy and thanked Star of Tricity Group.
