11381 cases were settled on the spot in the National Lok Adalat

Hoshiarpur - District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur organized the second National Lok Adalat of the year in the district as per the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar. In this Lok Adalat, NI Act cases under Section 138, pending and pre-litigation bank recovery and labor dispute cases, MACT cases, electricity and water bills (other than non-compoundable), traffic challans, revenue cases and Other civil, less serious criminal cases and and cases of domestic disputes etc. were kept.

Hoshiarpur - District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur organized the second National Lok Adalat of the year in the district as per the guidelines of Punjab State Legal Services Authority SAS Nagar. In this Lok Adalat, NI Act cases under Section 138, pending and pre-litigation bank recovery and labor dispute cases, MACT cases, electricity and water bills (other than non-compoundable), traffic challans, revenue cases and Other civil, less serious criminal cases and and cases of domestic disputes etc. were kept.
               This Lok Adalat District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur has been established under the leadership of Dilbagh Singh Johal. A total of 28 benches have been formed in this Lok Adalat Hoshiarpur Out of which 10 benches of Hoshiarpur Judicial Courts, 5 benches at sub division Dasuha, 3 benches at Mukerian and 2 benches at Garhshankar and 8 benches of revenue courts were formed. 13591 cases were heard in Lok Adalat of District Hoshiarpur and 11381 cases were disposed of on the spot and total awards of Rs.87673569 were passed.
           Due to the efforts and efforts of Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) Mukerian Neeraj Goyal's bench during the National Lok Adalat, the family case of Kanta Minhas vs Vishali Devi, which has been pending since last year, was settled on the spot. In the same court, the case of Karnail Singh vs. Balbir Singh, which has been going on since June 2020, was settled on the spot.
On the occasion of this national Lok Adalat, special help desks were set up by the employees of the police department for the persons who came to pay the traffic challan so that the traffic challans posted in the courts can be paid easily.
         Meanwhile, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur along with CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Hoshiarpur Raj Pal Rawal along with Dilbagh Singh Johal, Vice President of Bar Association, Hoshiarpur Miss Rajni Nanda also all Visited Lok Adalat benches. Miss Rajni Nanda has given her full support to run this Lok Adalat in a good way.
Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal appealed to the people to take maximum benefit by filing cases in the courts as it saves time and money. The decisions of the Lok Adalat are final and there is no appeal against the decision of the Lok Adalat. He said that this increases the love between the two parties.
