Hoshiarpur - Due to non-supply of water at Mohalla Neelkanth, Ward No. 50, under the chairmanship of District Struggle Committee President Karamveer Bali, a protest was held against the Municipal Corporation by placing empty buckets.
On this occasion, Karamveer Bali said that it is surprising that on the one hand, the minister says by inaugurating the new tubewells that the city dwellers will not be allowed to lack clean water. On the other hand, where the tubewells are installed, there is a problem of water. The people of the mohalla are poor, daily wage earners, or they raise their children to do domestic labor or fetch water from far away for a living. One wonders why the poor are being harassed.
If water is not supplied properly within 72 hours, the struggle committee will start a struggle with the support of the Mohalla residents, which will be the responsibility of the administration.
