Chandigarh, 9th May,2024:- A crucial meeting, presided over by Koushlendra Tewari, Expenditure Observer, was convened today at the U.T. Guest House. The meeting brought together key stakeholders including Team Heads of Flying Squad, Static Surveillance Team, Video Surveillance Team, and Video Viewing Team, along with Assistant Expenditure Observers. During the session, Mr. Tewari emphasized the paramount importance of vigilance, particularly regarding vehicular movements, to curb illegal cash transactions, distribution of liquor, and any other suspicious activities during the ongoing election campaign. Teams were directed to promptly report any violations to the concerned Nodal Officers. The Video Surveillance Team (VST) received instructions to thoroughly document all expenditure-related events and evidence during public gatherings organized by contesting candidates and political parties, ensuring accurate expense calculations. Likewise, the Video Viewing Team was tasked with analyzing expenditures recorded by the VST and providing pertinent data to accounting teams for further processing. In closing, Mr. Tewari reiterated the necessity for vigilance and emphasized the timely submission of reports by all teams.
