Haryana ADGP Y Puran Kumar Commits Suicide IPS Officer Shoots Himself at His Residence Dies on the Spot

Chandigarh: Y. Puran Kumar, a senior IPS officer of ADGP rank from Haryana, has committed suicide. At his residence in Sector 11, he shot himself, resulting in his immediate death at the scene. The act by an officer of ADGP rank has caused a stir from the Chandigarh Police to the Haryana bureaucracy.
 Under the leadership of Chandigarh SSP Kanwar Deep Kaur, senior police officials reached the spot, conducted an investigation, and took possession of Y. Puran Kumar’s body. The police are questioning people present at the residence.
It is reported that Y. Puran Kumar shot himself with his licensed revolver, ending his life forever. The reason behind this horrific step is not yet clear. However, it is believed that there must be a significant reason behind Y. Puran Kumar’s decision to take his own life.
 Nevertheless, no suicide note has been found with Y. Puran Kumar so far. The Chandigarh Police are conducting a thorough investigation at the scene. Haryana Police officials have also been informed about the incident
IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar’s wife, Amneet Kumar, is an IAS officer of the Haryana cadre and is currently on a tour to Japan with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. In the absence of his wife, IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar took this drastic step of suicide. IAS wife Amneet Kumar has been informed about Y. Puran Kumar’s action.
