More than 70 participants from the institutes/colleges of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana are attending this workshop.

More than 70 participants from the institutes/colleges of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana are attending this workshop.
In the inaugural session, Prof. Shyam S. Sharma, Head of the department and Chairperson of the D3NM-4 welcomed the participants and appraised them about the genesis of the workshop. In the inaugural address, Prof. Dulal Panda, Director NIPER SAS Nagar emphasized the need of discovery of drugs for CNS disorders. Chief guest of the workshop Prof. Anil Gulati, Founder and CEO Pharmazz, Inc.
USA delivered keynote address on “Discovery and development of sovateltide to treat cerebral stroke patients”, Dr Gulati discussed the preclinical and clinical studies on sovateltide, an endothelin B receptor agonist and neural progenitor therapeutics. Director also felicitated department faculty for their significant achievements on this occasion.
Dr Ashutosh Kumar, organizing secretary proposed vote of thanks. In the scientific session, renowned speakers Prof. Bikash Medhi, PGIMER, Chandigarh; Prof. Rajat Sandhir, Panjab University; Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda, INST, Mohali; Dr. Ashok K. Datusalia, NIPER, Raebareli; Dr. Mahendra Bishnoi, NABI, Mohali; and Dr. Ashok Jangra, Central University of Haryana delivered the lectures and interacted with the participants. In the workshop demonstrations of Hargreaves plantar and Nerve conduction velocity was also carried out.
