Piles of garbage in the city are exposing the government's incompetence - Tikshan Sood
Hoshiarpur- Former cabinet minister and senior BJP leader Teekshan Sood said in a press note that the autumn festivals in India are especially important for cleanliness. Because after the rains, various types of epidemics can spread due to dirt. He said that on one hand, while the Ramlila festivals are in full swing across the city, on the other hand, huge piles of dirt at various places are not only tarnishing the color of the festivals, but are also revealing the performance of the government.
Accusing of ruining the sanitation system through contracting, Sood said that the sanitation system in the city was running very smoothly, but now it has come to light that the Aam Aadmi Party government is giving the sanitation system on contract to loot the Municipal Corporation's coffers through Delhi's favorite contractors. He said that the amount of this contract is so huge that not only will the budget of the Municipal Corporation be shaken, but the hopes of the raw sanitation workers who have been serving for many years with the hope of becoming permanent will also be dashed.
Not only these, the posts of permanent employees who are now retiring will also be abolished for the future. Sood alleged that whatever benefit this will have, it will go only to the bosses of Delhi Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who are sometimes looking for excuses to collect money from the people in the name of land pooling, sometimes in the name of "Chardi Kala/Rangla Punjab".
Teekshan Sood said that the demands of the sanitation workers who are on strike are absolutely legitimate and the entire city, including the Bharatiya Janata Party, stands in their support. He said that the government has not yet given a single penny to any municipal corporation for development works, but their MLAs or leaders are vainly boasting by laying the foundation stones of the ongoing works with the funds of the municipal corporation.
Urban facilities denied, warning BJP leaders present, including former mayor Shiv Sood and district vice president Vinod Parmar, warned the government that if the demands of the sanitation workers are not accepted soon and cleanliness is not arranged in the city, then the BJP will be forced to formulate a strategy against it.
