
Critical Care Unit (CCU) to be operational in Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital, patients will get better treatment facilities - Energy Minister Anil Vij.
Chandigarh, September 24 - Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Mr. Anil Vij said that the construction of a new 100-bed building in Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital is going on at a fast pace and its construction is expected to be completed soon. This new building will mainly house the Critical Cancer Unit (CCU), which will enable patients to get better treatment. Along with this, the work of stomach scan in the cancer hospital will also start soon.

This new building will mainly house the Critical Cancer Unit (CCU), which will enable patients to get better treatment. Along with this, the work of stomach scan in the cancer hospital will also start soon.
Mr. Vij inspected the construction work in the hospital and directed the officials to complete the work on time so that the patients can take advantage of it. The estimated cost of this project is about Rs. 14.79 crore. During the inspection, PWD XEN Ritesh Agarwal, CMO Dr. Rakesh Sahal, PMO Dr. Pooja and other officials were present.
After the construction of the new building, the total capacity of the hospital will be 200 beds. At present, the Civil Hospital has only 100 beds, but in view of the increasing number of patients, an additional 100 beds were required.
The new seven-storey building will have two basement floors, in which AC and gas plant along with vehicle parking have been arranged. Registration, reception, emergency service and other facilities will be available on the ground floor. An emergency ward will be built on the first floor, while the ICU will be on the second floor and super specialist OT and wards on the third and fourth floors. The design of the building is such that there is no risk of infection to the patients.
The Critical Care Unit (CCU) will have facilities for monitoring patients, provision of necessary materials, medicines and emergency treatment. Heart rate, blood pressure and other vital signs will be constantly monitored here. There will also be separate wards for Covid and other serious illnesses.
