Itanagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday alleged that Congress has a habit of abandoning any difficult development work and this has caused a lot of damage to the Northeast.
Addressing a rally after inaugurating development projects worth over Rs 5,100 crore at Indira Gandhi Park in Itanagar, Modi said that he knows that the development of the Northeast cannot be done from Delhi, so he has sent more ministers and officials to the region and he himself has also come here more than 70 times.
He claimed, “Congress has a habit that it never does such development works, which are difficult to do, it abandons them. This habit of Congress has caused a lot of damage to Arunachal Pradesh and the entire Northeast. Congress forgot those areas where development work was challenging by declaring them backward. The Prime Minister said that the launch of GST reforms on the first day of Navratri will bring double happiness to the people this festive season.
He said, “Today, GST reforms have been implemented across the country and GST ‘Bachat Utsav’ has begun. During the festive season, people have got a double bonanza.” He said that GST reforms will reduce the kitchen budget, which will bring relief to housewives.”
