District AYUSH Officer, Dr. Kiran Sharma, stated that Ayurveda has been a guide in maintaining the balance between human life and nature since ancient times. This day is being celebrated for the 10th edition in 2025 and will now be held annually on September 23rd. Previously, it was celebrated on Dhanvantari Jayanti (Dhanteras).
He said that various activities are being organized in the district from September 17th to 23rd. These include tree plantation drives, women's health programs under the "Healthy Women - Empowered Family" campaign, and awareness campaigns to promote Ayurveda.
He informed that a multi-specialty medical camp will be organized at the District Ayurvedic Hospital, Una, on September 22nd. In this camp, various Ayurvedic experts including Nadi Rog, Panchakarma, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Kshar-Sutra will examine and consult the patients.
