Chandigarh, September 17 - Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana said that laborers play an important role in the progress of the country and the state, because of them the nation runs on the path of development. He was speaking as the chief guest at the Laborer Honor and Awareness Program organized by the Labor Department in Yamunanagar today. On this occasion, the laborers were provided information about their rights and various welfare schemes of the government.
Mr. Shyam Singh Rana said that the goal of the Laborer Honor and Awareness Program is to honor the laborers and make them aware of their rights, government schemes and health awareness. He said that laborers have an important role in the construction of the country. Laborers have taken the country to new heights with their hard work and sweat, their contribution will be appreciated.
He said that today, special programs are being organized by the Labor Department in Haryana on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in which health camps have also been organized along with honoring the laborers.
Under the program, laddus were distributed at 6 major labor squares in Yamunanagar district. Mayor Mrs. Suman Bahmani and Labor Inspector Mrs. Kiran Verma were present at ITI Chowk Yamunanagar. MLA Mr. Ghanshyam Das Arora and Assistant Labor Commissioner Mr. Roshan Lal were present at Fawara Chowk (Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk) Yamunanagar. Former Minister Mr. Kanwar Pal Gujjar and Assistant Labor Commissioner Mrs. Anjali were present at Jhanda Chowk Jagadhri.
Former MLA Mr. Balwant Singh and Assistant Labor Welfare Officer Mrs. Usha Arora attended the Sadhaura Grain Market, while District Vice President Mr. Rampal and Labor Inspector Mr. Balwinder Kumar were present at Labor Chowk Chhichhrauli.
On this occasion, laddus, chai and water were distributed to the laborers. Also, information was given about various welfare schemes of the Labor Department, Government of Haryana. In this series, the ESI Department conducted a health check-up of the laborers and provided them with necessary medicines.
