Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh organized a literary gathering and a short kavi darbar.

Chandigarh:- Today Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh organized a literary gathering and a grand ceremony to install the portrait of world famous late marathon runner Fauja Singh ji, in which marathon runner and international gold medalist Mr. Bhupinder Singh Bhagomajria was present as the chief guest.

Chandigarh:- Today Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha Chandigarh organized a literary gathering and a grand ceremony to install the portrait of world famous late marathon runner Fauja Singh ji, in which marathon runner and international gold medalist Mr. Bhupinder Singh Bhagomajria was present as the chief guest.
On this occasion, former Deputy Secretary Punjab Mr. Raj Kumar Sahowalia and former Deputy Secretary Punjab Government Mr. Dalbir Singh Saroya were present as special guests. The ceremony was presided over by the President of the organization Pandit Bahadur Singh Gosal.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Pandit Bahadur Singh Gosal welcomed the chief guest and other guests and mentioned the achievements of the famous marathon runner Baba Fauja Singh ji and paid emotional tribute to him, who died at the age of 114 years.
Thereafter, all the members of the organization along with the guests performed the ceremony of installing the portrait of late Fauja Singh ji in the office and paid tribute to the world famous runner by garlanding him. Chief guest current marathon runner Mr. Bhupinder Singh Bhagomajria said that despite his old age, Mr. Fauja Singh made his mark in the world marathon race and made the country proud.
He said that the great personality of Mr. Fauja Singh is a beacon for him in organizing marathon races. He described the installation of Fauja Singh ji's portrait in the office as a unique initiative, which is a new direction for the youth. Special guests Raj Kumar Sahowalia and Mr. Dalbir Singh Saroya also paid tribute and Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha expressed gratitude to the institution for giving special honor to the late marathon runner.

*Literary Goshti and Short Kavi Darbar
In the second phase of the program, a Kavi Darbar was organized during the literary goshti, in which Mr. Dalbir Singh Saroya, Raj Kumar Sahowalia, Bhupinder Bhagomajria, Pandit Bahadur Singh Gosal, Balwinder Singh, Sanjay Kumar recited their compositions.
Shri Krishna Kumar Rahi, Jagtar Singh Jog, Avtar Singh Mehatpuri and Amarjit Singh Bathlana registered their presence online. In the end, the advisor of the organization Balwinder Singh Dhariwal thanked the guests and the audience.
