Patiala 09 September:- Today, PRTC Retired Workers Community Union ATK held a state-level general body meeting at the old bus stand in Patiala. In which more than 300 retired employees participated. This meeting was presided over by the presidium consisting of Sarv Sri Uttam Singh Bagri, Ram Sarup Agarwal, Parminder Pal, Babu Singh. The meeting was attended by the patron of the organization, Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal.
Addressing this huge meeting of retired employees, Sarv Sri Nirmal Singh Dhaliwal, Mohammad Khalil and Ram Sarup Agarwal condemned the current Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab and said that instead of resolving the legally valid demands and issues of the entire working class and employees of Punjab, this government has further complicated the issues.
At the same time, the salaries and pensions of the workers are never paid on time by not paying the due money by burdening the PRTC with free travel facilities. Apart from this, the dues of the current and retired employees exceeding Rs 150 crore are also not being paid for years. Which include arrears of Pay Commission, gratuity, leave in cash, payment of medical bills, DA arrears etc.
The government is not interested in putting new buses in the PRTC while the government has not given any money for the purchase of buses. From which it is clear that the government's collusion with the private bus mafia is the same as the previous governments. The Punjab government is refusing to give the benefit of 1992 pension to 300-400 PRTC workers. While this is only a minor financial burden. The leaders said that yesterday the management had promised that salary and pension would be paid on September 9, but today only pension has been paid.
Salary was not paid, whereas during the flood, salary should have been paid immediately. This shows how unserious the government and management are. The community union condemns this injustice and demands that salary be paid immediately. Today's meeting was moderated by Sukhdev Ram Sukhi, and at the end, the vote of thanks was given by Uttam Singh Bagri.
