He said that the government is also ensuring that the highest standards of blood transfusion services are being set in Haryana and that safe blood is provided to every citizen on time.

The Chief Minister was addressing the inaugural program of the 50th Annual National Conference of the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immuno Hematology, Sunehri Jayanti Transcon 2025, organized in Gurugram on Friday as the Chief Guest. The program was attended by Cooperation, Heritage and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma, Pataudi MLA Mrs. Bimla Chaudhary, Sohna MLA Mr. Tejpal Tanwar and Gurugram MLA Mr. Mukesh Sharma were also present.
Haryana is making its own mark in the field of voluntary blood donation
Addressing the program, the Chief Minister said that at present, a total of 149 blood centers are functioning in Haryana through which a target of collecting 3 lakh 30 thousand units of blood has been set this year. He said that 2 lakh 22 thousand 433 units of blood have been collected so far under the set targets. The Chief Minister said that Haryana is the land of soldiers, farmers and youth.
Major improvements recorded by Haryana in the health sector in the last 11 years
The Chief Minister said that the level of health services in Haryana is continuously improving. In the last 11 years, the state has recorded major improvements in the health sector. He said that where earlier there were 30-bed hospitals, now there are 100-bed facilities. Similarly, 100-bed hospitals have been expanded to 200 and 200-bed hospitals to 400 beds.
The Chief Minister said that the government is working seriously on the ground so that every citizen of the state gets quality health services. He said that in the year 2014, where only 700 doctors were trained in Haryana every year, today this number has increased to 2600 every year. The government's goal is to increase this number to 3400 seats every year by the year 2029.
The Chief Minister, while mentioning the Fit India-Hit India slogan of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, said that today Haryana is moving forward with this resolve.
Important role of both IH and Blood in society
The Chief Minister said that according to the demand of the time, we should promote research like Next Generation Blood Testing, Artificial Intelligence based Blood Matching and Artificial Blood. Also, there is a need to provide high quality training to technicians and doctors related to IH and Blood Transfusion.
The Chief Minister said that IH and Blood Bank are the backbone of the health sector. Through these, the lives of lakhs of people can be saved. If the government gets collective support from health organizations and society, then this sector can become more safe and effective in the coming time.
Haryana Government fully committed to protecting the environment under Go Green Initiative
Describing the Go Green initiative of Transcon, the Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government is fully committed to protecting the environment. In this direction, a campaign in the name of Mother Earth is being run in the state. The aim of this campaign is to make every corner of Haryana green. The Chief Minister said that 18 crore plants have been planted since October 2014, which is a symbol of Haryana's seriousness and resolve towards environmental protection. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also honored doctors who have done excellent work in the health sector.
Enthusiasm is being seen across the state for blood donation under Sewa Pakhwada - Dr. Arvind Sharma
Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma said that enthusiasm is being seen across the state for blood donation under Sewa Pakhwada, which started on the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the Haryana government is continuously strengthening these services.
Dr. Arvind Sharma said that the state government is not limited to just making announcements but also implements the resolutions. Today, 45 lakh families of the state are taking the benefit of Ayushman Yojana. Also, the government has gone a step further and has also linked the elderly above 70 years of age with Ayushman Yojana under Chirayu Yojana, which has given great relief to the eligible beneficiaries. On this occasion, Deputy Ajay Kumar, Transcon Chairperson Dr. Sangeeta Pathak and other dignitaries were present.
