
Women of Una came forward to help the victims of Mandi disaster, provided assistance of Rs. 3.01 lakh.
Una, August 22- Women of Una district, presenting an example of social concern, have provided a contribution of Rs. 3 lakh 1 thousand to help the families affected in the recent disaster in Mandi district.

Women of self-help groups associated with cluster level organizations and development block offices of the five development blocks of the district have collected this amount by contributing at their own level.
On their behalf, on Friday, Project Director, District Rural Development Agency K.L. Verma, District Panchayat Officer Shravan Kumar and CPO Sanjay Sankhyan went to the Deputy Commissioner's office Una and presented a cheque of the said amount to Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal.
Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal praised this initiative and said that this cooperation will not only be a support for the affected families, but is also an inspiration for the entire society. He said that it is inspiring that self-help groups and cluster level organizations are playing a leading role in fulfilling social responsibility along with economic empowerment.
He informed that the amount received will be further sent to the Deputy Commissioner Mandi so that it can be delivered to the disaster affected families.
It is notable that the cluster level organizations contributing include Him Anchal Mahila and Jamasni Mata from Bangana, Kutlehad NRLM, Prayas and Nayi Udaan from Gagret, Ekta and United from Haroli, Ambika and Radha from Una and Sanjeevani cluster level organization from Amb. At the same time, women self help groups associated with development block office Amb, Una and Bangana have also contributed.
