Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar: Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal today took strict notice and got the under construction building sealed for violating notice and continuing illegal construction within the limits of Zirakpur Municipal Council.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal said that on receiving a complaint of illegal construction on Lohgarh Road recently, Executive Officer of Municipal Council Zirakpur Ashok Kumar Patharia had issued a notice to Harmeet Sharma under Section 195, 195-A of Punjab Municipality Act 1911.
He said that even after the notice was issued, a complaint was received that the said person did not submit any documents related to the construction and continued the construction. He said that Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar took strict cognizance of this and ordered to seal it immediately and today the under construction building was sealed.
He said that if the construction continues despite the sealing action, further legal action will be taken against the concerned person.
According to the Additional Deputy Commissioner, no one can be allowed to do illegal construction in the district and construction can be done only after the initial building map is passed. He appealed to the people of the district that before doing any construction work, they must get the construction map approved from the competent authority. He also appealed that no construction should be done by going beyond the approved map.
