Chandigarh, September 24- Traders have responded positively to the GST 2.0 reforms implemented by the Central Government. Rameshwar Giri stated that these reforms are truly a concrete step towards a developed India and will directly benefit traders in the future.
He explained that the new provisions will provide significant relief to small and medium-sized traders. The tax system has become simpler and more transparent, making it easier for traders to manage their businesses. The ease of digital return filing and streamlining of procedures will save both time and cost.
Rameshwar Giri said that while the tax reforms are a welcome step for businesses, we also need to pay attention to the infrastructure in our markets. If our markets have good roads, parking facilities, clean public toilets, and regular cleaning, people will be more likely to shop in stores rather than online.
He said that today retail trade has been affected due to e-commerce, but if customers get convenience and trust in the markets, they will give preference to local shops. He further said that clean and safe markets will not only increase business but will also strengthen employment opportunities.
If the administration pays attention to the infrastructure of commercial markets like the recent reforms, then this step will also strengthen the 'Vocal for Local' campaign. Rakesh Goyal said that while GST 2.0 has simplified business, now we have to make our market more attractive. If we all make efforts together, then customers will return to the shops more often and the local economy will be strengthened.
