Patiala, December 14- District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that the proposal sent by the district administration for rationalization of 1786 polling stations in 8 assembly constituencies in Patiala district has been approved by the Election Commission of India.
Patiala, December 14- District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sahni said that the proposal sent by the district administration for rationalization of 1786 polling stations in 8 assembly constituencies in Patiala district has been approved by the Election Commission of India. Sakshi Sahni said that a proposal is sent to the Election Commission by rationalizing the location of the polling stations according to the population, according to which the proposal to establish 1786 polling stations established earlier in the district has been approved by the Election Commission.
The District Election Officer said that according to the district assembly constituency, after rationalization, there are 226 polling stations in Nabha (reserved for Scheduled Castes), 258 in Patiala Rural, 201 in Rajpura, 210 in Ghanur, 272 in Sanur, 182 in Patiala Assembly Constituency. The proposal to set up 232 polling stations in Samana constituency and 205 polling stations in Shutrana (reserved for scheduled caste) constituency has been approved.
