Hoshiarpur - In order to provide clean and quality food to the people keeping in mind the festive season, according to the directions of Honorable Commissioner Food and Drug Administration Punjab Dr. Abhinav Trikha and Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur Dr. Pawan Kumar Shagotra, Hoshiarpur Food Safety Team at different places. Checking of various food items was done by putting up a roadblock and samples were filled.
 District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia said that food safety officer Manish Sodhi and his team stopped and checked the vehicles coming from other districts at Naka Laga on Himachal border near Jammu National Highway and Talwara. Meanwhile, 3 samples of sweets and 1 sample of mustard oil were taken for analysis. District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia said that keeping in mind the festive season, continuous checking is being done by forming different teams and the samples collected from different places have been sent for lab tests.
Action will be taken after receiving the sample report. He appealed to the people to do their due share in this campaign organized by the health department against these adulterers by giving information against them so that we can provide proper and quality food to the people.
