Patiala, October 2 - Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, the entire district administration is continuously working to create access to farmers for the management of 13.70 lakh metric tons of stubble produced from 2 lakh 32 thousand hectares. And every farmer of the district is being contacted by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.

And every farmer of the district is being contacted by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
Giving information about the efforts being made regarding stubble management, the Deputy Commissioner said that farmers are being approached through the Department of Agriculture for the last two months. Under which 242 village-level and 16 block-level camps are being organized across the district to provide farmers with stubble management techniques and answers to farmers' questions. And the farmers are being motivated for stubble management through in situ and ex situ methods Which has been well received by the farmers.
Giving detailed details in this regard, Chief Agriculture Officer Jaswinder Singh said that apart from the awareness camp, three mobile vans are also going to each village of the district. Which are distributing about 1 lakh literature including latest technologies So that every farmer has complete information about stubble management. Apart from this, awareness campaign is also being conducted through Nook Natak and Asha workers.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav appealed to the farmers of the district and said that enough machinery including baler, chopper, super seeder, surface seeder is available for stubble management. By using which farmers can easily dispose of their farm waste.
