National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), SAS Nagar celebrated 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor. Director Prof. Dulal Panda unfurled the national flag and the national anthem was sung.
In his address, Prof. Panda recalled India’s freedom struggle, courage and progress and highlighted the theme of 2025 “Respect for Freedom, Inspire for the Future”. He spoke about the concept of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the importance of Operation Sindoor and pharmaceutical science as a leading sector towards the Developed India Vision 2047.
He said that NIPER has the responsibility to develop skilled human resources, strengthen industry-academia linkages and promote new innovations. He mentioned the foundation stone laying of Anti-Viral and Anti-Bacterial Drug Discovery Centre by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, 34 ongoing projects and faculty expansion. He also highlighted the excellent placements and achievements in research. The function concluded with patriotic cultural performances and distribution of sweets by the children of students and employees.
