9 mobile phones recovered from prisoners of Patiala jail, case registered

Patiala, June 15 - The morale of the inmates and convicts of Central Jail Patiala has now become so "raised" that they are openly using mobile phones. 9 mobile phones have been recovered from them. After the recovery of the mobile phone, an FIR has been registered against the accused, who will be interrogated by the Tripadi police on a production warrant. The recovered mobiles include smartphones, Chinese mobiles and two SIM cards.

Tripari Police has registered this FIR on the statement of Assistant Superintendent Satnam Singh. Assistant Superintendent of Jail Satnam Singh said that 9 mobile phones have been recovered during the search operation. Two phones and one SIM card were found from prisoner Rohit Kumar Dhamoli Rajpura. Two mobile phones and one SIM card have been recovered from prisoner Lavdeep Singh Guru Nanak Nagar, Ludhiana. A Chinese phone has been found from prisoner Gurbir Singh Ludhiana, prisoner Sanjeev Kumar, a resident of village Nawanshahr.
Jail staff have registered an FIR by seizing one phone from under trial Robert village Ajroor Patiala, one Chinese phone from under trial Gurtej Singh village Saifdipur, Patiala and one Chinese phone from Inder Sanjay Colony, Patiala. Gurpreet Singh, SHO of Tripari police station, said that an FIR has been registered on the basis of the letter from the prison administration. These accused will be taken on production warrant and questioned as to how and who delivered the mobile phones to them.
