Mohali, Sarpanch Gurjant Singh Poonia and all the Panchayat members of Bhago Majra village adjoining Mohali organized a thanksgiving ceremony by reciting Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji in village Bhago Majra on Sunday. Where the Poonia family donated an amount of Rs 51 thousand for the construction of Gurudwara Sahib.
On this occasion, constituency MLA Kulwant Singh was specially present. Giving information in this regard, Sarpanch Gurjant Singh Poonia said that today the Poonia family and all the Panchayat members organized a thanksgiving ceremony by reciting Shri Sukhmani Sahib Ji in village Bhago Majra, which started at 9 am and was celebrated at 11 am. In which constituency MLA Sardar Kulwant Singh along with his colleagues specially arrived and were present.
He told that constituency MLA Kulwant Singh has assured to give every possible help for the development of the village. He said that he thanks God and the villagers that they gave the entire Panchayat an opportunity to develop the village. It is noteworthy that the Poonia family has been known as a social worker family in the area for a long time.
Sarpanch Gurjant Singh Poonia's father, late Jarnail Singh Poonia, has built many religious and children's sports stadiums in village Bhago Mazra. On this occasion, Jaswinder Singh, Kulwinder Kaur, Harjinder Kaur, Bhupinder Singh, Didar Singh, Mandeep Kaur, Jasvir Singh (all Panchs), Bahadur Singh Poonia, Avtar Singh Mauli Vaidwan, Balbir Singh Sarpanch Bairpur, Gurdeep Singh former Sarpanch, Ranjit Singh former Sarpanch, Surmukh Singh former Panch, Baljit Singh Tati and a large number of dignitaries were present.
