Chandigarh, June 23 - Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini on Monday paid tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his martyrdom day. The Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and during this, he also gave a message of environment protection by planting saplings.
The Chief Minister said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's thoughts, sacrifice and patriotism are still a source of inspiration for every Indian. He sacrificed everything for the unity and integrity of the nation by taking the resolution that two presidents, two symbols, two constitutions will not work in one country. With his tireless efforts, the permit system implemented in Jammu and Kashmir was ended and the unity of the country was strengthened.
The Chief Minister said that he is proud that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, following the path shown by Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, has realized the concept of Akhand Bharat by abrogating Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.
