
Farmers training camp on not burning paddy stubble at village Mazhur and Malakpur.
Nawanshahr:- As per the directions of Dr. Rakesh Kumar Chief Agriculture Officer, a farmer training camp was organized at village Mazhur and Malakpur under Crop Residue Management Scheme under the chairmanship of Dr. Kuldeep Singh Agricultural Development Officer, Nawanshahr.

In which Dr. Kuldeep Singh Agricultural Development Officer, Nawanshahr told the farmers to sow wheat crop by ploughing the paddy stubble in the ground and appealed to the farmers not to burn the paddy stubble. So that the environment can be protected from pollution, soil fertility can be increased and friendly insects in the soil can be protected.
He said that 37 baler machines, 245 super seeder and 25 surface seeder are available with the farmers/farmer groups in block Nawanshahr. With which the stubble of the entire block can be managed. He also informed about the ban on the use of pesticides on Basmati crops and encouraged farmers to take bills while purchasing agricultural inputs such as seeds, pesticides and fertilizers.
