Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, August 18: Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal held a meeting with all recognized parties of the district today, in which he informed that BLAs are to be appointed at every polling station as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India.
The proforma regarding BLA-1 is to be filled by the party president/secretary. In this proforma, the president/secretary will appoint an authorized person to appoint BLAs at the district constituency level.
The authorized person appointed in the BLA-1 proforma should ensure that BLA-2 proforma is filled and submitted. In which he will appoint BLAs at the booth level.
Representatives of all political parties were also informed about the forms that Form No. 6 should be filled for new registration in the electoral roll, Form No. 6-A for inclusion of Non-Resident Indian Voters (NRI) in the electoral roll, Form No. 7 if a person has objections to the names registered in the electoral roll of his constituency or for deletion of any name, Form No. 8 for any kind of correction in the details registered in the electoral roll, for changing the address registered in the electoral roll due to change of residence from one constituency to another, for change of residence within the existing constituency and for duplicate voter card.
