Appeal from the Chief Electoral Officer to political parties, citizens and organizations.

Chandigarh, August 19 - The Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana, Shri A. Srinivas, while giving information, said that the Election Commission of India has published the preliminary electoral roll of the state of Bihar from August 1 to August 18, 2025, with the aim of ensuring the accuracy of the electoral roll.

Srinivas, while giving information, said that the Election Commission of India has published the preliminary electoral roll of the state of Bihar from August 1 to August 18, 2025, with the aim of ensuring the accuracy of the electoral roll.
Shri A. Srinivas informed that so far no claim or objection has been raised by any political party on the draft list. However, a total of 45,616 claims and objections have been received from voters so far, out of which 1,348 objections have been disposed of within 7 days. In addition, 1,52,651 Form-6 and Declaration Form applications have been received from new voters of 18 years of age and above.
As per the Commission guidelines, claims and objections are being disposed of within 7 days after verification of eligibility documents by the concerned ERO/AERO.
He informed that under the Special Intensified Revision (SIR) orders, no name can be removed from the draft list published on August 1, 2025 without verification and providing a reasonable opportunity, without passing a clear order by the ERO/AERO.
The list of removed voters, whose names are not included in the primary electoral list of August 1, 2025, is available in EPIC search mode on the websites of the concerned District Election Officers/District Magistrates (district-wise) and the website of the Chief Electoral Officer. The affected persons can submit their claim by attaching a copy of their Aadhaar card.
The Chief Electoral Officer has appealed to all political parties, citizens and organizations to actively participate in this process and cooperate in preparing a voter list that is accurate, transparent and inclusive.
