It may be mentioned here that on October 24, Bahadur Singh Asman Pur was beaten to death by a stray Sahan in his fields. Since then Kirti Kisan Union was demanding compensation to the family of the deceased farmer. The additional deputy commissioner said that the compensation paperwork has almost been completed and soon the compensation amount will go to the bank account of the heirs of the deceased.
        Addressing this protest, Kirti Kisan Union district president Surinder Singh Bains, state committee member Bhupinder Singh Waraich, district secretary Tarsem Singh Bains, district treasurer Sohan Singh Atwal said that this victory is the victory of union unity and struggle. There is no achievement without struggle. Therefore, farmers should strengthen their unity even more. He said that where the stray animals destroy the crops, they are also taking precious human lives. But the Aam Aadmi Party government is not providing any solution to stray cattle. The government is collecting cow cess on a large scale, but is not managing the stray cattle. Jarnail Singh Kahma, Gurbaksh Kaur Sangha, Simran Simmi, Bikar Singh Sheikhupur, Paramjit Singh Shahabpur, Parveen Kumar Nirala, Raghveer Singh Asman Pur, Pakhar Singh Asman Pur, Surinder Singh Mehram Pur, Mohan Singh Langroa, Karnail Singh Maula Udapar leaders said.
