Una, September 24 - An awareness fair was organized at the Una Municipal Corporation on Wednesday as part of the Angikar Abhiyan-2025 to generate widespread public awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 and to connect as many eligible people as possible. The program was presided over by Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Manoj Kumar, while the scheme's Lokpal Rampal was a special guest.
Una, September 24 - An awareness fair was organized at the Una Municipal Corporation on Wednesday as part of the Angikar Abhiyan-2025 to generate widespread public awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 and to connect as many eligible people as possible. The program was presided over by Municipal Corporation Joint Commissioner Manoj Kumar, while the scheme's Lokpal Rampal was a special guest.
Joint Commissioner Manoj Kumar stated that the campaign aims to spread awareness about the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 and ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits. The focus is also on connecting beneficiaries to other schemes such as health, education, skill development, social security, clean energy, environmental protection, financial literacy, and women and child welfare.
He stated that this awareness campaign will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be held from September 17th to October 2nd, and the second phase from October 15th to October 31st.

At the fair, various departments provided detailed information about their schemes to beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). Representatives from the Electricity Department provided information about the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme.
They stated that a subsidy of ?85,800 will be provided for installing a 3-kilowatt solar panel, ?60,000 for 2-kilowatt panels, and ?30,000 for 1-kilowatt panels. Beneficiaries can apply and avail the scheme through the official website.
Manjul, District Coordinator of the Women and Child Development Department, provided information on obesity, diabetes, and anemia during Nutrition Month and encouraged participants to consume less sugar and oil.
Rampal, Coordinator of the Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board, stated that if beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are involved in building construction, they can receive additional benefits of up to ?1.50 lakh upon registration.
PNB RSETI Director Sudhir Sharma and Coordinator Akash Bhardwaj explained the various types of free training offered by the department. They stated that beneficiaries involved in construction work can receive 35 days of free training, along with a daily honorarium of ?500.
The Health Department organized a free medical checkup camp at the fair. Dr. Rajkumar, Gulshan Sharma, and their team checked 115 beneficiaries for blood pressure, sugar, chest X-rays, and provided free medicines.
