Nawanshahr:- BSP leaders submitted a memorandum to SSP Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Mehtab Singh demanding legal action against the burning of the statue of Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar ji by Chausari Badkhilaf. On this occasion, the leaders requested that on 26 January 2025, the statue of Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar ji installed at Fuara Chowk Sri Amritsar Sahib was broken and set on fire by some mischievous element. The video of which is also going viral. Due to which the sentiments of the whole country have been hurt.
This accused has committed this crime at 3:00 pm in connivance with some mischievous people. By carrying out this incident, the above accused has hatched a conspiracy to harm the social and religious community of the whole country and the followers of Baba Sahib ji. The above accused was arrested by the security on the spot.
Therefore, on behalf of the entire Bahujan Samaj, we request you to take strict legal action against the above accused as well as action under the SC/ST Act 1989. Also, whoever is behind this conspiracy should also be arrested immediately. Keeping this incident in mind, the security of all the statues of Baba Saheb Ji coming in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district should also be ensured.
On this occasion, MLA Nawanshahr constituency Dr. Nachattar Pal, Sarabjit Jafarpur District President Bahujan Samaj Party, Mukesh Kumar, Prem Ratan, Gyan Chand, Surjeet, Satpal, Surjeet Ram, Debi Langroa, MC Gurmukh Singh North, Rakesh Kumar etc. were present.
