
Engineers Day celebrated at Rayat Bahra Professional University
Hoshiarpur- Engineers Day was celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya at the University School of Engineering and Technology of Rayat Bahra Professional University. The aim of the program was to honor the contribution of engineers in society and to encourage the spirit of new thinking and creativity among the students.
Hoshiarpur- Engineers Day was celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya at the University School of Engineering and Technology of Rayat Bahra Professional University. The aim of the program was to honor the contribution of engineers in society and to encourage the spirit of new thinking and creativity among the students.
On this occasion, Director Principal Dr. Gurjit Singh, in his address, made the students aware of the importance of Engineers Day and the role of engineers in nation building. During this, speeches, debates and quiz competitions were organized, in which the students expressed their views on engineering innovations, challenges and future prospects, gave effective arguments on technical and social issues and showed their knowledge about science-technology and contemporary events.
Gurleen Kaur (1st semester), Ankita (DS) and Sakshi (CS) won the speech competition. Gurkanwar Singh (CSE), Harpreet Singh (IT) and Armaan (IT) were successful in the debate competition. The first place in the quiz competition was won by the team of Hitakshi Rana, Heena Rani, Jasmine Kaur and Harpreet (CSE).
The second place was won by the team of Anmol Dhiman, Anand, Irfan Khan and Ayush (CSE). The third place was won by the team of Sameer Jaswal, Kartik, Jasdeep and Manjinder (AI & ML).
Finally, the Principal honored all the winners and participants with medals and certificates. On this occasion, in-charges of all the departments were also present along with the students.
