Rural watchmen will express their protest by pressing the Nota button in the Lok Sabha elections

Ghanoor, May 4 - The Rural Watchmen Union has announced that the members of the union will express their protest by pressing the NOTA button in the Lok Sabha elections. At Ghanor, after the meeting held in sub tehsil Ghanor complex under the joint leadership of Ram Murthy Sogalpur, State Treasurer of the Union, Ram Murthy Sogalpur said that there are 10500 watchmen across Punjab. Those who are getting a salary of 1250 rupees per month in lieu of 24 hours duty.

At Ghanor, after the meeting held in sub tehsil Ghanor complex under the joint leadership of Ram Murthy Sogalpur, State Treasurer of the Union, Ram Murthy Sogalpur said that there are 10500 watchmen across Punjab. He said that none of the governments (Akali-BJP, Congress and AAP) gave any hearing to these poor chowkidars and even though they staged demand letters and sit-ins from time to time, the wages of the chowkidars were not increased. He said that Fed up with the rigid attitude of the governments, 10500 watchmen of Punjab along with their families and relatives will protest by pressing the Nota button.
Dhanna Singh Jand Mangholi, Harbans Singh Mahri, Surinder Din Lohsimbali, Som Nath Kami Kalan, Hasan Muhammad Harimajra, Malkit Singh Sandharsi etc. were present on this occasion.
