
The visually impaired sisters passed the tenth class in the first grade
SAS Nagar, May 4 - Two schoolgirl sisters Jaswinder Kaur and Gurpreet Kaur, adopted by Sardar Amrik Singh Tehsildar Foundation, have passed the 10th class first rank in the Punjab School Education Board's 10th Upan School results. Jaswinder Kaur has secured 79 percent and Gurpreet Kaur 81 percent marks. Amarjit Singh, president of the foundation, said that these two sisters, residents of Nangal, are blind and are victims of economic depression. Meanwhile, these two sisters came in contact with the foundation and the foundation took up the responsibility of getting these two girls to get education.

They said that the foundation has given them the tenth standard examination and both sisters have passed the tenth class in the first grade with hard work. He said that for the education of these blind girls, the assistant controller Madam Jashndeep Kaur Ahluwalia and the manager Mr. Balinder Singh first contacted the principal and staff of the institute for the education of blind children at Sector 26 Chandigarh. And collected all kinds of information which paved the way for the education of these girls.
Meanwhile, these girls were highly honored by SDM Nangal Madam Anamjot Kaur. On this occasion, Principal Navdeep Kumar Vasudev said that it is a matter of great pride for his school that these two sisters have passed the tenth class in the first grade. On this occasion, Foundation General Secretary Dr Kulwinder Singh (former) DEO said that Madam Gurpreet Kaur, Principal Surinder Kumar Ghai, Shri Amarinder Singh and Shri Kuldeep Chand, Block Level Dissemination Officer (Ex) also played an important role for this work. Apart from others, National Awardee Mr. Manmohan Singh, Mr. Pritam Singh Rakkar, Daljit Kaur, Kulwinder Kaur, Khumb Bahadur etc. were also present on this occasion.
